Berlin police investigate Roger Waters after former Pink Floyd wore Nazi clothing at a concert

Berlin police revealed on Friday (26) that they are investigating a case involving Roger Watersfounding member of Pink Floyd, accused of inciting public hatred. The reason for the investigation was the musician’s use of a costume similar to that of a Nazi officer at a presentation in the German capital.

Halweg still highlights it “the dress refers to the SS officer uniform”. On May 17, Waters do a show on Mercedes-Benz Arenain which she wears a long black coat with red stripes, as shown in the picture posted on the social network.

German and Israeli media also reported that, during the performance, the musician performed on the screen the names of several people who had died, incl Anne FrankJewish youth victims disastere Shireen Abu AklehPalestinian-American journalist for Al Jazeera who died in an Israeli operation in May 2022.

The police spokesperson added that once the investigation is complete, the results will be sent to public service for a final legal review. The prosecution will decide whether or not the 79-year-old British singer faces charges.
